Craftivism brings together three installations, It’s Nice to Meet Me and Exodus by artist and activist Shannon Downey, and Badass Herstory. Founded by Downey, Badass Herstory is a global community project that inspires women and gender non-binary folks to share their stories through fiber art. Craftivism is an amalgamation of Downey’s passions, ideals, values, truths, complexities, and confessions embroidered to explore and strengthen an understanding of self, and what it means to take positive action both for yourself and others.
