Education

The National Liberty Museum’s education programs empower students to understand, practice, and champion liberty in their communities. Through dynamic school programs, hands-on projects, and educator resources, we help young people develop the civic knowledge, skills, and dispositions they need to become active, engaged citizens.

At NLM, we emphasize that liberty is a complex, ongoing practice—not just a concept. Our approach supports educators as they guide students in exploring civic ideas, applying them in real-world contexts, and reflecting on their impact.

Schedule a Field Trip to Philadelphia

Anchored by our signature Young Heroes Outreach Program, these projects challenge young people to apply what they have learned, think critically, and represent themselves as emerging civic actors.
