Data Nation Exhibition Opening and Community Open House

Celebrate the opening of NLM’s latest exhibition, Data Nation: Democracy in the Age of A.I., with a day of pay-as-you-wish admission and all-ages activities: test your human creativity against AI art generators with our sketch challenges and crack a secret code in our exhibition keyword search. Swing by the Data Nation Creation Station to create your own buttons of coveted “verified” badges, memes, and other artifacts of the Internet Age.
Visitors will experience immersive installations, topical interactives, a real-world echo-chamber, and provocative artwork to consider how rapid advances in technology impact democratic norms, leaving visitors to ponder, “What happens if the machines take over?”
The exhibition is open until October 30 and will be accompanied by a series of events, such as a drop in workshop with Data Nation artist Lane Timothy Speidel on June 24.
