An FPRI Event: Conservatism in the Age of Trump

September 7, 2017 @ 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm

This event is part of the FPRI* ongoing series Geopolitics with Granieri

Geopolitics with Granieri features a conversation – some might say an interrogation – with guest scholars on subjects in the news. Moderated by FPRI’s Ron Granieri, each session draws upon FPRI’s vast network of scholars and outside experts to elicit a broader understanding of the geographical, political, and historical context of current events. This uniquely interactive program, produced in front of a live audience, offers real substance and emphasizes active audience participation from both the studio and the live YouTube audience.           *Foreign Policy Research Institute

Alan Luxenberg

In this session, we turn the tables on Ron Granieri: instead of doing the interrogating, he will be interviewed by FPRI President Alan Luxenberg.

Once described by his fellow undergraduates at Harvard as “too nice to be a conservative,” Granieri always seems to be swimming against the tide. Now with conservatives themselves divided on the Trump presidency and on many of the issues facing America today, it seems a perfect time to explore what we mean by conservatism – and by liberalism – and how to define the national interest.

Registration begins at 6:15 pm, with the program to follow from 6:30 – 7:30 pm.

Reservations are required. RSVP to Rachel Hemler:
