Our First Amendment Rights are the freedoms that are guaranteed to us in the United States Constitution. Basically, they are actions that we should always be allowed to take, as long as it’s safe. There are 5 First Amendment Rights: Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Press, Freedom of Assembly, and Freedom of Petition.

At the end of each school year, the NLM's Young Heroes Outreach Program, which brings the Museum’s civic leadership curriculum directly into area schools, holds a grand celebration to showcase the Social Action Projects created by all of the participating schools.
