NEW CHARITABLE DEDUCTION OPTIONS THIS YEAR!
Your gift is now eligible for a 100% tax deduction under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act legislation. Individuals who itemize their deductions can deduct 100% of their adjusted gross income for the rest of 2020. And, for individuals who claim the standard deduction on their 2020 federal tax return, the CARES Act creates a $300 charitable deduction option this year.
NLM is pleased to be included on the list of Educational Improvement Organizations to which businesses may contribute as part of the Education Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
In honor of Black History Month, artist Serena Saunders will be highlighted in an hour-long virtual tour of the National Liberty Museum on Tuesday, February 23 at 5pm. The tour will explore the history of civil rights activism in art, protests, political movements, and more. Serena Saunders is a featured artist in the Philadelphia’s Freedom exhibition now on display at the NLM.

The National Liberty Museum celebrated its 14th annual Teacher as Hero Award sponsored by State Farm® with a Virtual Awards Ceremony on Saturday, September 24. The ceremony honored 10 inspiring teachers who make a difference in the lives of their students. To mark the occasion, State Farm Representatives, National Liberty Museum leadership, friends and family gathered via Zoom to celebrate the accomplishments of these exceptional educators.
