Sip on specialty cocktails and mocktails crafted exclusively for the night and enjoy an eclectic mix of creative entertainment—from live music and performance art to engaging workshops and interactive experiences. Each Third Thursday offers exclusive access to the Museum’s galleries\, allowing you to explore thought-provoking exhibits in a relaxed\, intimate setting. \nThird Thursdays are 21+ events. IDs will be checked upon entry. \n  \nTHIS MONTH \nCivic Season is here\, and we are ready to celebrate! Test your knowledge of everything from history to pop culture with a special Quizzo trivia game night and enjoy free pizza in partnership with Made By Us and Pizza to the Polls. Get a sneak preview of one of the live musicians who will be performing at this year’s Red\, White\, & Blue To-Do hosted by Philadelphia’s Historic District Partners. \n  \nKJ McNeill \n \nKJ has been a professional musician since the age of 10\, and has not slowed down once since. Being raised in a musical household\, he quickly learned the value of mastering multiple instruments (drums/percussion\, guitar\, bass\, keys)\, as well as becoming a seasoned vocalist & producer. Currently\, KJ works with several bands\, including American Deluxe Band for which he is the lead male vocalist/drummer. KJ’s life as a live musician also include regularly performing with acclaimed trumpeter\, Lee Hogans (Prince\, Maceo Parker)\, as part his group “Pursuance”. Independently\, he has produced music for his own projects (KJ MCNEILL- “Contact”)\, as well as other artists; Hadar\, Brenda K. Star\, Thomas Clay\, Ginger Coyle\, Cole Redding\, Joey Gallagher\, KeithFromUpDaBlock\, Abstract Truth and more. Most recently\, he was fortunate enough to accompany the incomparable STEVIE WONDER as a vocalist on his latest tour! @kjmcneillmusic \n  \nQuizzo with Brittany Wickham \nBrittany is a dedicated informal edutainer who works to make content engaging and interactive for kids and adults of all ages. From science to civics\, goofy to reflective\, hospital playroom to pub trivia- she’ll hook you in and leave you with something to think about. Bringing Philly’s classic “Quizzo” framework to the museum\, Brittany works to incorporate meaningful concepts of liberty into the Third Thursday environment. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n \nA Slice of History \nThis month’s Third Thursday is part of the ‘Slice of History’ event series organized by Made by Us and Pizza to the Polls.  Participants will experience a winning combo: learning something useful\, meeting new peers\, visiting a local museum\, and free pizza. \n  \n  \n \n“On Our 250th” Wish Wall \nWe’re partnering with Made by Us\, The New York Historical\, and history museums across the country to invite YOU to share your wish for the United States’ 250th birthday\, coming next year. Draw inspiration from the work of Word Powered exhibition artist Shelley Brenner Baird to create your own letter mash-up “power word” to take home. Baird has recently focused on campaign signs\, deconstructing them and reconstructing the letters into new words and phrases. Visitors can tap into the immense power of words by using letters cut from election yard signs to create their own word art. \nVisitors of all ages are invited to drop in and create between 10 am and 5 pm. Customize your book cover and play with textiles and embroidery. Visitors of all ages are invited to drop-in and participate throughout the day.
