SUMMARY:Flame Forum

Igniting new possibilities.\nJoin us for the inaugural Flame Forum\, the culminating event of the National Liberty Museum’s Year of Free Speech Speaker Series. Many people talk about wanting to see more civil discourse\, yet we know we think differently from one another – sometimes vigorously. What keeps us connected when we disagree so deeply? \nThis unique forum features a distinguished panel: Jim Campbell (Alliance Defending Freedom)\, Robert Corn-Revere (Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression)\, and Jonathan Friedman (PEN America)\, moderated by Debi Ghate (National Liberty Museum). Together\, the panel will explore what freedom of speech truly means – in action and in principle – within a pluralistic society. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness a bold\, thought-provoking dialogue among some of today’s most influential voices. \n  \nTICKETS \n$25 General Admission \n$10 National Liberty Museum Members \n$5 Students\, Teachers\, or School Faculty (w. SUMMARY:NLM Celebrates: New Year's Eve at Cherry Street Pier
DESCRIPTION:Ring in the new year with the National Liberty Museum on the Delaware River Waterfront! Philadelphia’s New Year’s Eve celebration at Cherry Street Pier will feature a striking new addition — our very own 2\,000-pound twin Liberty Bell\, leaving its home at the Museum for the first time in over 20 years. This “younger sibling” bell\, complete with a matching crack\, will ring in 2026 as the Visit PA New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront light up the sky\, symbolizing the city’s historic role in America’s story and setting the stage for the nation’s 250th anniversary. Visitors to Cherry Street Pier will have the chance to touch\, ring\, and take photos with the bell as the Museum showcases this powerful symbol of freedom. \n \nAs part of Visit PA’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the Waterfront\, Cherry Street Pier offers a front-row setting for history\, celebration\, and sweeping views of the Delaware River. The National Liberty Museum’s replica Liberty Bell\, cast at the same Whitechapel Bell Foundry as the original\, takes center stage as a rare\, interactive experience for all ages. Throughout the evening\, guests are invited to see\, touch\, ring\, and photograph the bell before it helps usher in the new year. \nTwo dazzling fireworks shows\, one at 6 pm and one at midnight\, will illuminate the Philadelphia skyline. The displays honor the city where American liberty was born. With waterfront festivities and a once-in-a-generation appearance by the Liberty Bell’s twin\, this New Year’s Eve celebration bridges Philadelphia’s revolutionary past and its future.
