But with beer.\nRaise a glass to the revolution! We are launching our first Tavern Tours on Saturday\, April 18th starting @ 4PM.  Tour–goers will travel along the path of historic taverns where our Founding Fathers gathered and planned the Revolution.  With several stops along the way\, guests will dive into the history of pubs\, taverns\, and public houses which were the central gathering spaces for the men declaring independence\, fighting the British\, and framing our Constitution.  We’ll gather at the National Liberty Museum and finish at Man Full of Trouble Tavern\, a bar operating in the oldest standing tavern building in Philadelphia.  \nTICKETS\n$34 Includes tour and one complimentary beer.   \n$10 for National Liberty Museum Members \nBECOME AN NLM MEMBER TODAY\nand receive discounted admission to Third Thursday events for an entire year! \nAce level members have access to 1 discounted ticket per event \nAlly and Advocate level members have access to 2 discounted tickets per event \nAmbassador level members have access to 4 discounted tickets per event \n

DESCRIPTION:The All About Assembly Speaker Series continues our tradition of hosting engaging and relevant gatherings. This year\, our speaker programs will focus on our right to peaceably assemble. Our first evening will dive into how we gather as a community around sports. Sports broadcasting legend Joe DeCamara will moderate the discussion with sports legends Valerie Still\, Milt Thompson\, and more. Join us for an engaging and unique evening. \n  \n\nGuest Speakers\nJoe DeCamara is a Philadelphia-based sports radio personality and co-host of the morning show on Philadelphia’s top-rated sports-talk radio program. A longtime voice in the region’s sports media scene\, he previously hosted the station’s midday program and has also worked with ESPN Radio and 97.5 The Fanatic. Known for his energetic style and deep connection to Philadelphia sports\, DeCamara has become a leading figure in local sports talk. \n  \n  \n  \nValerie Still is a former professional basketball player and Camden\, New Jersey native\, widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes in University of Kentucky history. She holds the school’s all-time records in scoring and rebounding (men’s or women’s) and went on to a successful international and U.S. pro career\, including championships in the American Basketball League and a stint in the WNBA. A Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame inductee\, Still is also an author\, speaker\, and youth advocate. \n  \nMilt Thompson is a former Major League Baseball outfielder and longtime member of the Philadelphia Phillies organization. A key player on the 1993 National League championship team\, he later served as the Phillies’ hitting coach for the 2008 World Series champions. Thompson is currently a club ambassador\, focusing on community outreach and youth baseball development initiatives.
