2020 Glass Auction and Gala - Artist Donations

We invite you to participate in our 21st annual Glass Auction and Gala fundraiser, which is being held this year on Saturday, October 10.

Since NLM opened its doors 20 years ago, we have welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world to learn about past and present heroes of liberty. In addition to creating engaging and innovative exhibitions, programs, and events, the NLM has also developed a one-of-a-kind educational program that teaches young people how to become empathetic and responsible future leaders. All proceeds from the Glass Auction & Gala allow us to keep doing this great work.

We’d be delighted if we could count you among the generous and caring artists who support the NLM by donating a work of art for our 21st annual Glass Auction & Gala. Your donation will also give you the opportunity to showcase your art to 400+ of our region’s top business leaders, art collectors, press, influencers, and philanthropists who attend our gala each year.

Please submit the form below by August 7. Or click here for a pdf to reply via email.

Note: you will be asked to provide an image of your work and a short bio or statement (125 words or less).  If you have any questions, please email us or call 215-925-2800 x117, 115 or 126.

Celebrating Pride Month with a Retrospective Exhibition

For Pride Month 2017, the National Liberty Museum presented Transparency, the nation’s first museum exhibition of studio glass works produced exclusively by artists in the LGBTQ+ community. While the physical exhibition is currently being housed at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Washington, the NLM is partnering with this Museum from June 15-19 to host a week of virtual activities and social media posts to again draw attention to this thought-provoking exhibition.

We invite you to participate in these very interesting events. Learn more here.

VIRTUAL NLM@Night

As we all practice social distancing, the National Liberty Museum is proud to offer fun, engaging, and informative entertainment through our Virtual NLM@Night series. Each week, these events will ask audiences to imagine liberty and the impact of everyday heroes.

Philadelphia’s Freedom Exhibition Call to Artists

When the National Liberty Museum opened its doors twenty years ago just a block away from Independence Hall, it took on the mission to reinforce the basic principles for safeguarding liberty, including heroism, empathy, and the appreciation of diversity. For our upcoming exhibition, Philadelphia's Freedom, the National Liberty Museum invites artists from the City of Brotherly & Sisterly Love to submit artwork based on your own interpretation of freedom.

Philadelphia's Freedom will debut in the NLM's Live Like a Hero Gallery in the Summer/Fall of 2020. The deadline to apply is July 17.
