Starting Tuesday, April 9th until Wednesday, April 17, we’ll be temporarily closing our doors to prepare for a major summer exhibition, In Pursuit: Artists’ Perspectives on a Nation, opening to the public on May 10. From Thursday, April 18th until Thursday, May 9th, we’ll be offering pay-what-you-wish admission as we transform our galleries into a destination for creativity and conversation. Liberty comes to life at the National Liberty Museum, located in the heart of Philadelphia’s Old City, where past ideals empower the achievements of today, tomorrow, and beyond.
Over four floors of permanent galleries and changing exhibitions, we explore the meaning of liberty today through contemporary art and the stories of real people from around the world who have done extraordinary things in the name of freedom.
