Heroes of Character Poster - Roberto Clemente

Roberto Clemente was an accomplished Major League Baseball player from 1955 to 1972 and the first Latin American elected to the Hall of Fame. He was very involved in charity work in Puerto Rico and other Latin American countries and died in an aviation accident while delivering aid to earthquake victims in Nicaragua. As with Mother Teresa, Clemente is featured in the Follow in My Footsteps portion of Heroes of Character. Thom Lessner is a painter and printmaker, best known for his drawings of pop culture icons. He began his career designing and printing rock school posters and has since worked with artist Shepard Fairey, consumer brands and magazines. He was raised in Columbus, Ohio and is now based in Philadelphia.
