Davids, Monroe V. Monroe V. Davids of Twin Birches Studio has worked with glass for over 35 years, and has been involved with fusing for over 20 years. He incorporates dichroic glass in all his pieces as it offers a third dimension, where the colors bounce all over the spectrum. Dichroic glass and its patterns are actually a film, which was placed on a layer of glass under intense heat and controlled high energy. His art pieces are known as “Liquescence” – the liquid essence of high-energy glass. “Working the glass that reaches high temperature and dances in the kiln truly allows me to express myself in pure hot color.”
