    For an annual gift of $1,500–$2,499, you will enjoy the following privileges:

NLM celebrates Peace Day for an entire week!

Peace Day Philly promotes personal, local and global peace in conjunction with the United Nations International Day of Peace on September 21. The National Liberty Museum will be celebrating Peace Day for an entire week (Sunday, September 17 – Sunday, September 24) to give visitors the opportunity to participate in this important occasion. Our cutting-edge Professional Development Workshops give educators the tools and educational resources they need to succeed. Registration is now open for two upcoming workships. The first, on Saturday, October 21 is Diversity and Communication: Strategies for Difficult Conversations in Schools. The facilitator is Mark Charles Good, M.Ed. The second, on Saturday, November 18, is Beyond ‘Mean Girls’: Understanding Girls’ Friendships, Conflicts, and Relational Aggression. The facilitator is Catherine Mallam, M.S. Now accepting nominations for our new Healthcare Heroes Awards

The National Liberty Museum is proud to launch the inaugural Healthcare Heroes Awards, presented by Teva Pharmaceuticals. This international awards program recognizes inspirational heroes in healthcare research and treatment whose accomplishments have profoundly benefited their patients, their field, and the global community. The program will present an award to an outstanding honoree in four categories. The nomination deadline is November 3. Learn more.

NLM to host a series of FPRI lectures

The Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) is dedicated to providing the insights of scholarship on foreign policy and national security challenges facing the United States. The National Liberty Museum is hosting a series of FPRI lectures throughout the fall. For the next event on Tuesday, Oct. 10 , Heather Sharkey, an award-winning teacher at the University of Pennsylvania, discusses her new book which explores the history of day-to-day relations between Muslims, Christians, and Jews in the Middle East. NLM's 2017 Glass Auction & Gala

This year’s GLASS AUCTION & GALA will be held Saturday evening, October 7 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel, 201 N 17th St, Philadelphia, PA. An outstanding collection of art is being assembled. Sponsorships are available. Our 2017 "Heroes of Liberty" are Stephen & Sandy Sheller. The artist honoree is Pearl Dick from Chicago.
