There are many different ways to work with the medium of glass. To help visitors appreciate the glass art they see, we have created an extensive exhibit called “Techniques.” It features a selected body of work by renowned artists to show the different ways glass is used for art, including casting, cold-working, flame-working, glassblowing, fusing & slumping, and various experimental techniques.
“Techniques” is located on the 3rd floor of the Museum at the entrance of the Live Like a Hero Gallery. In conjunction with this exhibit, we have also opened a Glass Access Area at the far end of the same gallery for visitors who wish to explore glass art even further by speaking with one of our glass art staff. You’ll find more information here.
