We celebrate Black History Month to reclaim stories that were left out of our history textbooks. What stories are being left out of the conversations we’re having in society today? Think about who and what matters to you, but might be missing from the newspapers and magazines that reside in our homes, libraries, etc. It’s your job to fill in the gaps! At our Craft Corner, imagine you’re the front-page story in your local newspaper and share how you would make a positive change in the world.
This craft activity is included with your Museum admission. It takes place on Sundays in February, from 12 noon to 5pm. The Craft Corner will also be open every Saturday in February from 10am – 5pm, and on Presidents’ Day, Monday, February 20, from 10am – 5pm.
