|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 5:00pm on Thursday, repeating until December 28, 2017

As part of Old City District’s Historic Holiday Nights, NLM will be open for extended hours every Thursday from November 30 through December 28. Admission is pay-as-you-wish, with access to selected galleries. Celebrate the season in America’s most historic square mile!

Located in the heart of historic Philadelphia, the National Liberty Museum is dedicated to preserving America’s heritage of freedom by encouraging people to find their own place in the story of liberty. Visitors to the National Liberty Museum enjoy an inspiring and entertaining experience, as they interact with incredible stories of heroes and a collection of contemporary art.  Our core themes for young people and adults include leadership and good character; diversity and inclusion; peaceful conflict resolution; and civic engagement. Our primary art form is glass art, as it makes the point that freedom is as fragile as glass. This season, the National Liberty Museum has created a special NLM Holiday Shop with a one-of-a-kind collection of gifts. Located at our side entrance leading to historic Franklin Court, our Holiday Shop features festive glass ornaments, fair trade handmade jewelry, unique stocking stuffers, and much more.
