The National Liberty Museum’s Teacher Training Workshops provide cutting-edge professional development on topics of immediate concern to educators in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and beyond. Workshops are highly interactive and appropriate for teachers of all grade levels. The program includes hands-on lesson plans that meet state standards, resource materials, instruction from expert presenters, and suggestions on how to use the National Liberty Museum’s content to reinforce learning. Our workshops give you the tools you need to nurture a culture of achievement and deal more effectively with violence and bigotry in your classroom, so that your students can achieve better scores and become better people, too.
Each National Liberty Museum teacher training course provides 15 hours of Act 48 Continuing Professional Education Credits approved by both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Departments of Education. Our workshops are conducted at various times throughout the year. The fall and spring sessions are held on Saturday to accommodate your busy schedule. A fee of just $50 per course covers the cost of lunch and curriculum materials.
