The National Liberty Museum features more than 100 contemporary works of art by world-renowned artists. Nearly every exhibit includes a work in glass illustrating the beauty and fragility of freedom. Flame of Liberty

This dramatic 20-foot crimson glass sculpture is the centerpiece of the National Liberty Museum. Created by world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly, it is a tribute to people worldwide who have upheld the ideals of liberty and freedom. This sculpture is featured in "Heroes From Around the World."

    

Conflict Resolution Pyramid

A massive six-foot sculpture by the late world-renowned Czech artist Stanislav Libensky and his wife Jaroslava Brychtova, the Conflict Resolution Pyramid illustrates the three side of every disagreement... your side, my side, and the compromise we reach which solves our differences peacefully. This sculpture is featured in "Conflict to Harmony."

   

Bigots Hiding Under the Flag

A daring representation of the American flag by artist Czeslaw Zuber, "Bigots Hiding Under the Flag" shows the boldness bigots display when they claim that the freedom of speech gives them the right to slander others. This sculpture is featured in "Let Freedom Ring."

    

Wings of Liberty

In this dramatic structure created from glass and stone, Philadelphia artist Ray King reminds visitors that any goal is attainable when it is rooted in a noble purpose. This sculpture is featured in the second floor stairway at the base of the "September 11 Heroes" exhibit.

     

Jellybean Kids

A colorful installation by artist Sandy Skoglund, the Jellybean Kids and Butterfly wall remind us that we're all the same inside regardless of the color of our skin. This sculpture is featured in "Conflict to Harmony."

    

Biblical Scenes in Glass

A series of 12 vibrant stained glass images by artist Maurice Gareau traces the roots of our democracy to the heroes and heroines of the Bible. These works are featured in "Voyage to Liberty Through Faith."

    

Harmony

Simple, stately and symmetrical, this elegant glass sculpture by George Bucquet captures the essence of the ideal society where people live in harmony with one another. This sculpture is featured in "Conflict to Harmony."

   

Golden Egg

This famous work by renowned artist Christopher Ries represents the golden opportunities that inspired immigrants to come to America. Created from 300 pounds of the purest fiber optic crystal, it is a perfect reminder that liberty, like glass, is both strong and fragile. This sculpture is featured in "Coming to America."

    

Peace Portal

Constructed of iron and glass, this 10-foot canopy introduces visitors to the beauty of glass and represents the delicate balance of life, where opposite elements, like glass and iron, come together to form a harmonious creation. This sculpture is featured in "Let Freedom Ring."

    

Climb of the Courageous

The first sculpture visitors see upon entering the Museum, the 12-foot Climb of the Courageous represents the underlying theme of the Museum's mission: When people stand up for what they believe in - and reach out to help others - there is no limit to what they can achieve or what heights they can reach.

 

 



Twin Towers

This perfect, 3-foot crystal replica of the Twin Towers by Peter Yenawine inspires visitors to see the strength and endurance of liberty despite the tragic event which toppled these structures. The Twin Towers is sponsored by Sovereign Bank. It is located in the Museum's reception area.
