On Wednesday evening, December 3,  more than 250 relatives, friends, business associates and other well-wishers gathered at The Westin Philadelphia Hotel for the presentation of the National Liberty Museum’s 2008 Heroes of Liberty Awards to Anne Hamilton, Stephen A. Cohen and Tom Scannapieco.  Appreciation and respect for these outstanding community leaders radiated throughout the room as a litany of accomplishments was attributed to each honoree. Mrs. Hamilton was recognized for her work and contributions to causes benefiting children, education, arts and culture, and animals. Mr. Cohen’s award focused on his involvement in a wide range of community, health, education and interfaith organizations. Mr. Scannapieco was cited for his professional vision, volunteer services and lifetime of commitment to the community and the arts. Each of these leaders is a living example of the attributes we teach every day at the National Liberty Museum. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who supported this very special event.
